Havea problem with my 2.0 TDI CAGA Audi A4 B8. Compleatly randomly it will crank but not start. Once present, this will repeat over many attempts, and after doing all sorts of procedures such as locking the vehicle, shifting the Multitronic gear selector with ignition on, etc. etc. it suddenly starts immediately again. But I cannot pin-point a
1 original key in in ignition switched on, second key in door. 2/lock door using second key. 3/ press unlock on second key untill light shows once. 4/unlock and lock second key then remove master key. 5/ use second key, only to get the SAFE light on dasboard.
Finallyresolved the problem. Engine light came on, and the obd reader read a p2015 fault. To resolve the issue I took the actuator that connect to the manifold flaps out and disassembled it. Cleaned the sensor, and carefully installed it back. Cleared the engine light and hasnt come back since.
